RKB introduced the first camera based inspection system back in the late 1960's for microfilm inspection. With the advent of CCD technology in the 1980's, RKB redesigned its camera based platform and introduced a variety of inspection solutions of just about any application where quality assurance and control is needed. We use 513, 1024, and 2048 pixel line scan cameras for autonomous defect detection such as holes, dirt, oil, etc... In 1992 we invented, designed and patented our coating steak and scratch detection solution that can detect coating streaks as small as 5 microns in access of 6000 fpm.

The Model 3600 OPTOMIZER® FCS Sheeter Inspection™ Technology was developed in cooperation with European paper makers for the inspection of web material to be sheeted. This technology incorporates cost effective high definition filtering that provides complete inspection and rejection of all defective future sheeted material. Future slit line compatible, this systems can easily adapt to changes in production from parent roll to end product.

The Series 9000 microscopic web inspection solution is an online technology to detect defects down to the micron level at speed. This is a very specialized inspection technology for those that demand very high control of quality assurance of their web based products.

The Model 1280 Guardian® Multicolor Edge Marking™ Technology is our multicolor automatic spray marker for marking the edge of web material for defect fault location and/or process control identification such as a malfunctioning coat head. The unit comes with up to 5 standard colors with the option to add more colors as required.
